Indigenous Parenting Program
The Bringing Tradition Home Program provides Indigenous individuals and families with community-based support services aimed to build resilience. The program provides early intervention supports to both children and their families to improve child development, increase education and capacity in caregivers, and enhance overall wellbeing. All elements of the program are grounded in Indigenous culture and traditions.
Eligibility: First Nation, Metis or Inuit families with at least one child who resides in Orillia, Barrie or Midland.
Support services: The Program Coordinator will connect individuals and families to supports and resources through community partnerships. Supports may include counselling, home support, cultural programming, clothing resources, traditional healing, etc. Support is provided both one-on-one and in group settings.
